Delaware County Community College is located in Marple Township near Newtown Square, Broomall and Media, a comfortable and convenient small city located 10-15 minutes away by bus. The dynamic city of Philadelphia, rich in history and culture, is only 30 minutes to one hour away depending on your mode of transport and traffic. There are nearly 100 colleges and universities within an hour of Philly, making this region one of the highest concentrations of higher education in the United States. The cities of New York, Baltimore, and Washington, D.C., are all within three hours. Within two hours are mountains where you can enjoy skiing and hiking, as well as beaches in the states of Delaware and New Jersey. Sports and Recreation

Among Philadelphia's outdoor attractions is Fairmount Park, the largest urban park system in the United States, with five major parks located throughout the city, each offering a variety of recreational facilities. Philadelphia is also a city of sports lovers, and is home to professional teams in five major sports; the Eagles (American football), Phillies (2008 Major League Baseball Champions), 76ers (basketball), Flyers (hockey), and Union (soccer).
