ELL provides beginning, intermediate and advanced instruction in listening, speaking, reading and writing English. Students will take a placement test on the first night to determine the level they will be placed in for the upcoming classes. Books will be provided after placements are determined.
Mandatory placement testing for ELL sections will take place on September 9, 2026 at 7 p.m. After testing, students will be placed in the appropriate level. All classes will begin the week of September 14. Once established, all levels will be 40 hours of instruction.

English for Healthcare Certification Success

This 16-hour exam preparation course is designed to help English Language Learner (ELL) students build the English language skills they need to successfully prepare for healthcare certification exams. The course will focus on understanding healthcare terms, reading and understanding exam questions, following written instructions, and learning common vocabulary used in healthcare settings and on certification exams.

Advanced Conversational English
CSP 9515 / Length: 20 hours
Cost: $289
This engaging 10-week course is designed to help high-intermediate and advanced English learners communicate with greater confidence and sophistication. Students will practice speaking fluently in extended conversations, expressing ideas clearly and persuasively, and using advanced vocabulary and idiomatic expressions naturally.
Through interactive activities and real-world scenarios, participants will strengthen their ability to navigate both professional and social conversations. The course also focuses on improving listening skills, helping students understand nuance such as tone, humor, and implied meaning for more effective communication.

Come join this class! Students will be supported in gaining speaking and some writing skills. This is a great start for students who have very limited English speaking and writing skills. Students will be given books and will receive 20 hours of ELL support. This is the perfect start before you join us for one of our other ELL classes!

Cooking & Conversation: Learn English through Cuisine
CSP 9492 / Length: 18 hours
Cost: $255
This class is a unique teaching model that combines English-language literacy instruction with hands-on experiential learning through cooking. Students will learn vocabulary and grammar, as well as practice listening, speaking, reading, and writing in English while cooking a new delicious recipe every week. This class offers students a chance to improve their English skills while cooking new recipes and eating delicious foods.
