Dear College Family,
For the safety of our College community, and in accordance with Governor Wolf’s directive to limit social interaction, the College will close for two (2) weeks beginning Monday, March 16. At this time, the College plans to reopen on Monday, March 30. All on-campus College operations are suspended through Sunday, March 29 with the exception of Security and IT.
All classes will resume on Monday, March 30, not March 23 as previously announced. Faculty will continue to prepare to transition all classes to an online/remote format, and faculty will email students no later than Friday, March 27 with specific instructions to access their respective course(s) in Canvas. Students are encouraged to email faculty with any specific questions and concerns.
The College’s IT department continues to take the necessary steps so that staff and faculty can work remotely, if possible and as needed. Faculty should reach out to their division dean with any questions or concerns; staff should reach out to their supervisor with any questions or concerns. Any faculty or staff member with medical concerns involving the COVID-19 Coronavirus should contact Human Resources via email at hr@dccc.edu.
All members of the College community are urged to check the College’s website daily as this is a very fluid, ever-evolving situation. I thank you for your patience, cooperation, flexibility and understanding during this difficult time.
Please visit the College’s website: www.dccc.edu/coronavirus.
Sincerely,
Dr. L. Joy Gates Black
College President
