Join us for the fall Business, Computing & Social Science Symposium America in Crisis: Is There A War on Women? With this academic year marking the 100th Anniversary of the 19th Amendment, which gave women the right to vote in the United States, we wanted to examine the progress that women have made since then. In addition, with the recent abortion legislation in a number of states, along with recent debates surrounding the expiration of the Violence Against Women Act, we felt there was a pressing need to have a frank discussion about the rights of women in this country. Michelle Legaspi Sanchez, Executive Director for the Chester County Fund for Women and Girls, will lead a panel discussion with representatives from women’s health, work-life balance, women and disabilities, women’s legal issues and feminist theory.
