I was an adjunct at DCCC in 2014-2015 and began my time as a full-time instructor in Fall 2015. I am originally from Buffalo, NY, and moved to this area of the country for graduate school. I am married and have four cats, and I enjoy RPG video games, sci-fi/fantasy books and tv shows, and hiking/camping. I hope to be very approachable. Please ask me anything during our time in courses together. :)
Degrees
- M.S. in Mathematics from University of Delaware in Newark, DE

Academic Biography
Over the course of the past few years I have taught a range of mathematics courses: Developmental Mathematics (050), Algebra (128), Introduction to Probability and Statistics (121), Modern College Mathematics (120), College Algebra (151), Precalculus (152), Statistics (210), and Calculus III (260). I have also taught the Calculus I-III sequence at another university.
Theoretical Approach, Experience, and Temperament
I value a sense of community in both my lectures and in my colleagues and department. I provide as many new ideas and directions as I borrow from my colleagues. I encourage my students to work with me, the college, and their peers. Because of this, my lectures contain a lot of interaction! Students should expect to be asked questions and to have time to think individually and with partners about the concepts we will cover in lecture. Students should also expect to spend a lot of time outside of lecture with practice problems and assigned reading/videos, but if we work together to come to a fact or idea, it will stick better in your mind.
