Don't Miss the Sixth Annual Engineering Career Day February 21

(Delaware and Chester Counties, PA)—In recognition of National Engineering Week (February 19-25), Delaware County Community College will host its sixth annual Engineering Career Day on Thursday, February 21, 2013, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Marple Campus (901 South Media Line Road, Media, PA). The event will be held in the main lobby and large auditorium of the Academic Building.
Participants are encouraged to arrive early to ensure a seat for the program that begins promptly at 5 p.m. The opening presentation features overviews of the College's engineering and engineering-related programs as well as career opportunities for engineering graduates, and is a must-attend for students who want to find jobs in the field. In addition, representatives from the College’s four-year transfer partner colleges and universities will be in attendance, including Widener University, Drexel University and DeVry University. Participants will also have the opportunity to meet with representatives from Architectural Design Works, Boeing, Brandywine CAD Design, Inc., KNF Neuberger, Inc., Lockheed Martin, PA Machine Works, Society of Manufacturing Engineers, Southco, Stantec, Synthes and other companies.
Delaware County Community College offers both traditional and nontraditional engineering disciplines. This exciting and emergent field includes a spectrum of career choices, including architecture, manufacturing, electronics, computer networking, construction management and robotics. The College offers associate degrees in Engineering as well as a variety of certificates in Applied Engineering.
Engineering Day is free and open to anyone curious about engineering careers. Those interested in attending are asked to reserve a space by calling the Admissions Office at 610-723-4000. In the event of inclement weather, the snow date for the event is Thursday, February 28.
