Delaware County Community College receives $750,00 grant from CCRES
(Delaware and Chester Counties, PA)— Delaware County Community College recently received a $750,000 grant from CCRES, which will support the College’s participation with the Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU) at the Technical College High School Brandywine Campus, Pennocks Bridge Campus and Pickering Campus. The College’s continued partnership with the CCIU has resulted in tremendous educational opportunity for residents throughout Chester County.
The Pennocks Bridge Campus, located in southern Chester County, is a unique, state-of-the art, hybrid educational facility that provides career training and other educational services at both the secondary and post-secondary levels. Now entering its eighth year of operation, the school offers a wide range of quality programs and services that are affordable and accessible to southern Chester County and the surrounding area.
In central Chester County, Delaware County Community College and the CCIU offer courses and programs at the Technical College High School Brandywine Campus. Opened in 2012, this site houses the College’s Culinary Arts program and features a brand new, professional kitchen. Here, the College also offers classes to high school students for enrichment, as part of a cohort of students taught by high school and College faculty and in blended programs that allow qualified students to be assessed for college credit that can be applied to corresponding College programs.
The Technical College High School Pickering Campus is home to the College’s Phoenixville Campus. Late afternoon and evening classes are offered here as well as credit and non-credit courses. This site provides residents of northern Chester County with access to an affordable, quality education close to home.
