SpectiCast Series Presents La Boheme

(Delaware and Chester Counties, PA • November 20, 2013)—Delaware County Community College’s SpectiCast series continues with an HD broadcast of La Boheme on Sunday, December 8, 2013, at 2 p.m. in the Large Auditorium in the Academic Building on the Marple Campus (901 S. Media Line Road, Media, PA).

La Boheme—arguably the most popular and passionate opera of all time—is at its pinnacle with this unbeatable cast, starring the velvet-voiced Anna Netrebko as doomed flower girl Mimi. Puccini's masterpiece is as heartbreaking as ever in this celebrated production from the Salzburg Festival, which was filmed live on August 1, 2012. Sung in Italian with English subtitles. Run time is approximately 124 minutes.

Now in its fourth year, the College’s SpectiCast series brings the classical realm of music, dance and opera closer to home for residents of Delaware and Chester Counties. Each performance is produced using a state-of-the-art audiovisual system and is choreographed to capture the fullness of the orchestral performance and the intimacy of the on-stage experience. Performances are filmed live in some of the greatest venues around the world and then broadcast at the College.

Admission is $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and $7.50 for students and children. Tickets are available for purchase online (www.dccc.edu/the-arts) and at the door 45 minutes prior to each show (cash only). For more information, please call 610-359-5266.
