Delaware County Community College Presents “Common Bond”                                                                      A Graphic Design and Illustration Show

(MEDIA, PA) – The name is Bond – Common Bond! And, it is now showing at Delaware County Community College in the Gallery (Academic building room 2305) at the Marple Campus – 901 South Media Line Road, Media, PA. The exhibit, which opened on February 8, will run through March 16.

“Common Bond” reunites six artists who fused their talent with their professional goals while studying graphic design and illustration at Kutztown University. Several have bonded personally and professionally and have distinguished themselves both nationally and internationally – some having risen to prominence in the design industry.

Common Bond highlights the talents of this select group of artists whose relationships have linked their past education with their current artistic endeavors,” stated Robert Jones, Curator of the Exhibit and Professor of Graphic Design at the College.

The featured artists include:

Dave Biedrzycki, an award winning illustrator of numerous children’s books and author/illustrator of “Ace Lacewing, Bug Detective” and “Santa’s New Jet.”

Tom Hallman, an award-winning artist, has created covers for New York Times bestselling authors, including Toni Morrison, Mary Higgins Clark, Dean Koontz, John Grisham, Danielle Steel and Stephen King.

Lizzy Hallman won the Rodger T. Hane Illustration Award for outstanding achievement in illustration at the University of the Arts and the William H. Ely Award with honorable mention for four illustrations she exhibited in Philadelphia.

Jim Lebbad specializes in typographic design and handlettering. He has created award-winning designs for Arista Records, Nickelodeon, Campbell Soup Company and Simon & Schuster Publishing.
