NakedEye Ensemble Presents “Two-Headed Dragon” Featuring Kathleen Supové at DCCC April 25
(Delaware and Chester Counties, PA - Friday, April 12, 2024)—Delaware County Community College invites the community to an evening of masterful and disarming musical works inspired by two powerful pianists—NakedEye “pianist extraordinaire” (Boston Globe) Ju-Ping Song and New York City “Downtown Piano Queen” (the MMIXDOWN) Kathleen Supové—joining forces around one piano and supported by an electric ensemble.
NakedEye Ensemble is an electro-acoustic octet with classical, rock, and jazz DNA on the forefront of cutting-edge and crossover music that defies conventional labels. The performance will take place Thursday, April 25 at 7 p.m. and will offer a unique assemblage of amplified bicycle, ‘90s Latin pop, deep grooves, toy instruments, extended duo piano techniques and more. Song and Supové head a truly kaleidoscopic experience that highlights magnetic works by Angélica Negrón, Randall Woolf, Molly Joyce, Rusty Banks, and DCCC music professor Richard Belcastro. This will be one of NakedEye’s final live performances before they record their fourth studio album.
The performance will be held at the College’s Marple Campus (910 South Media Line Road, Media, PA 19063). It is the final performance of the College’s 2023-2024 Concert Series and will take place in the Large Auditorium in the Academic Building.
Each semester Delaware County Community College students and residents of our region have access to concerts featuring the world's top musicians right in their own backyard. The series highlights the expansive musical experience available in the 21st century, presenting virtuosic and innovative musicians from around the globe.
Tickets are $10 general admission, and free to students. For tickets, visit dccc.edu/concerts.
