We’ve all seen the power of social media to mobilize communities for political change. But how do you communicate with people who don’t agree with you? We’ll explore the habits of thinking that make it hard for those who disagree to talk openly--and how social media shields us from challenging information. We’ll also talk about using online communication to make a meaningful social impact, and resources at the College for producing information that matters.
This workshop is facilitated by Professor Maria Boyd, and Reference & Instruction Librarians, Ellie Goldberg & Sarah Hartman-Caverly. Free refreshments. This workshop counts as one workshop toward the Navigating Leadership Certificate.
