We will be delighted to have you join us for the 38th Annual ElderWeek on our Marple Campus for three days of special mini-classes!
For just $130 for all three days, or $115 for two days, students will receive eight workshops, continental breakfast and tempting lunches at the “ElderWeek Café.” Most classes and activities will take place in the STEM Center, which is conveniently located next to the parking lots and is easily accessible for all of our students. We may have to limit the number of crafty classes students register for so that every one has an opportunity to attend. Those classes are indicated with *.
Advance registration is required and limited. Workshops are filled on a first-come, first-registered system. The preferred form of registration and payment is by phone with a credit card at

In 1972, a 1683 log house was slated for fire practice. Discover how the house was saved, taken down, and reconstructed. Learn when and how the reconstruction was accomplished and where the log house is today.
Paint Your Mug (1915)
The Mudroom, Ardmore
Learn new ceramic painting techniques using transfer paper! This technique will help you draw a specific image on your mug. Images provided or bring your own! If you bring your own image, please make sure it is no bigger than 4” x 6" in size.
Refuse to be a Victim - Session I (2538)

It is not a self-defense or firearms course, simply a seminar to help you prepare a safety awareness plan and personal safety strategy. This is a two-part workshop. Attendees must sign up for both sessions for the training.
Contemporary Short Stories Session I (1095)

Retirement: Make Your Money Last (1952)

Stress and the Brain: The Physiology of a Life Out of Balance (2541)

Weaving and the History of Textile Mills in Delaware County (2543)

This course starts with hand weaving demonstrations. We'll then see how hand looms were transformed into power looms during
the 1800's. Using slides, videos, and hands-on demonstrations, we'll understand life both inside and outside the water-powered textile mills along Cobbs Creek, Darby Creek, and Chester Creek.

The College has fantastic workforce facilities and we want to share them with our Seniors! SeniorCON is an interactive workshop where you become the carpenter. There will be a major emphasis on safety, and proper use of the tools used to make a take-home project. You provide the safety goggles and we provide the rest. Historic Hope Lodge, the Whitemarsh Encampment, and the Philadelphia Campaign of 1977 (2553)

The Continental Army's encampment at Whitemarsh was the final phase of the 1777 Philadelphia Campaign during the American
War for Independence. Eleven thousand Continental troops constructed camps and fortifications along the hills around Whitemarsh. Historic Hope Lodge served as headquarters for Surgeon General John Cochran. General George Washington used his time at Whitemarsh to decide whether to retake Philadelphia from the British or go into winter quarters at Valley Forge.
This choice would shape the outcome of war.

Yin Yoga - Senior Version (2557)

This practice targets your deep connective tissues: fascia, ligaments, joints, and bones. It’s slower and more meditative. Because you’re holding poses for a longer period of time than you would in other traditional types of yoga, yin yoga helps you stretch and lengthen those rarely-used tissues while also teaching you how to breathe through discomfort and sit with your thoughts.

Join us for an overview of architectural style focusing on Bethel Township, Delaware County, a farming bedroom community founded in 1683. Although a small community, many architectural styles can be found in buildings spanning the last four centuries. These various styles are discussed with photos to show their unique architectural characteristics.
