I am an Associate Professor of Reading at Delaware County Community College. I have taught reading I, reading II, Critical Reading and Thinking and Integrated Reading and Writing. I have been employed by Delaware County Community College for 10 years, as an adjunct instructor for 3 years and now as a full-time professor for 7 years. Prior to working for DCCC I was an area manager for a national publisher, a national professional developer for elementary reading programs, and an elementary reading specialist/Reading Recovery instructor. I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and my Masters in Education and Reading Specialist from Mansfield University. In 1993 I received my Reading Recovery Certification from Shippensburg University. I have additional graduate work from Millersville University, University of Iowa, Gratz College, West Chester University and Temple University. I recently completed a Certificate in Community College Education from Temple University. I am currently involved in numerous projects on campus centering on student success. These projects include integrated reading and writing, technology in the classroom, Achieving the Dream, and linked courses. I am the current reading coordinator.
