Ways to Give
When you support the Delaware County Community College Educational Foundation, you help make sure that the College remains the center of educational opportunity in Delaware and Chester Counties. Every gift, of every size, helps support a student or program or expands and enhances our facilities.
If you wish to send a check, please download the attached form and send to the Foundation.
You may restrict your gift to the Annual Fund to support for scholarships, programs, faculty development or capital projects. Unrestricted gifts are also welcome and greatly valued because they allow the College to respond to unexpected challenges and emerging opportunities.
The annual fund campaign from 2015 through 2017, the 50th anniversary of the College, will focus on gifts that sustain our progress and growth. Since opening in 1967, the College has helped to build communities with graduates in health care, technical fields, the sciences, business, education and more.
We have added eight new locations to make our programs more accessible to students in both Delaware and Chester Counties. We have transformed the Marple Campus to adapt to teaching and technological advancements. The new construction has improved the delivery of student support services and created cutting-edge facilities for high-demand fields in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
At the same time, our emphasis has been on student success – ensuring that our students have all the support they need to attain a degree or certificate in their program of study. Our progress has been recognized twice by the Achieving the Dream organization which granted Delaware County Community College Leader College status in this national reform movement for student success.
The future of Delaware County Community College is more relevant than ever. With quality, affordable tuition, state-of-the-art facilities and a focus on local workforce needs, the College is well-positioned to fulfill our mission to future generations in the communities we serve.
Anniversary gifts to the College through the Foundation are welcome for scholarships, facilities and for unrestricted gifts that allow the College to respond to emerging opportunities.
Scholarships are critical for College students who cannot afford the full cost of their education. Thanks to the support of our many constituents, the College’s Educational Foundation awards more than $200,000 in scholarship support each year. The Foundation’s Scholarship and Awards brochure lists 120 programs of support that recognize students, faculty and staff for their accomplishments in the classroom and throughout the College community.
Donors wishing to establish a scholarship may award an annual scholarship or create an endowed scholarship in perpetuity.
Annual scholarships may be established in any amount and will be presented in the full amount to the students who meet the guidelines established by the donor.
Endowed scholarships provide a permanent source of scholarship aid. They are established with a gift of $10,000 or more, which is placed in the Foundation’s investment portfolio. A portion of the interest generated from the endowed scholarship fund is awarded annually to the students who meet the guidelines established by the donor.
Annual and endowed scholarships may be named for the donor, a loved one, a corporation, foundation or organization. To learn more about establishing and naming a scholarship at the College, please contact the Executive Director of the Delaware County Community College Educational Foundation at 610-359-5131.
