A New Decade of Opportunity Appeal

A new decade of opportunity has presented urgent demand for student scholarships.  The Foundation just opened our scholarship week application period in late January, and in 48 hours, received nearly 200 submissions were received for the 2020-21 academic year.  At this rate, it is alarming to announce we may surpass last year’s 825 student applications total and experience significant pressure for the $625,000 expected to be available for distribution.

The Educational Foundation sincerely appreciates support from our community which makes our scholarship program possible.  Please make your gift today which will help us respond to the continuing needs of our hard working students and faculty. Visit www.dccc.edu/makeagift to make your gift online or contact the Advancement Office (advance@dccc.edu ) or call 610-359-5131 for further assistance.

The Education Foundation also has several projects seeking corporate sponsorship for events later this spring.  If you are interested in more information, please contact the Advancement Office (advance@dccc.edu) or call 610-359-5131 for further assistance.

Scholarships are critical for College students who cannot afford the full cost of their education. Thanks to the support of our many constituents, the College’s Educational Foundation awards approximately $625,00 in scholarship support each year.

Donors wishing to establish a scholarship may award an annual scholarship or create an endowed scholarship in perpetuity.

Annual scholarships may be established in any amount and will be presented in the full amount to the students who meet the guidelines established by the donor.

Endowed scholarships provide a permanent source of scholarship aid. They are established with a gift of $10,000 or more, which is placed in the Foundation’s investment portfolio. A portion of the interest generated from the endowed scholarship fund is awarded annually to the students who meet the guidelines established by the donor.

Annual and endowed scholarships may be named for the donor, a loved one, a corporation, foundation or organization. To learn more about establishing and naming a scholarship at the College, please contact Rachael Patten, Executive Director, Educational Foundation at 610-359-5131 or send an email to advance@dccc.edu
