Annual Fund | 50th Anniversary Campaign

Link to BrochureYou may restrict your gift to the Annual Fund to support for scholarships, programs, faculty development or capital projects. Unrestricted gifts are also welcome and greatly valued because they allow the College to respond to unexpected challenges and emerging opportunities.

In 2015, the College launched the three-year 50th Anniversary Campaign, which is $40,000 short of its $500,000 goal. Gifts to the campaign support scholarships, facilities, equipment or unrestricted funds that respond to emerging needs. A Foundation board member has issued a challenge grant to match all gifts received in 2017, dollar for dollar, up to $40,000, thereby doubling the impact of your gift.  Your gift would match the board member’s gift and help us meet the total goal of $500,000. Please make a pledge or gift today by check or online through PayPal

If we have not heard from you by November 28, Giving Tuesday, you will be reminded to participate in this annual day of thanksgiving by supporting a favorite charity.  Please put Delaware County Community College on the top of your list.

Scholarships

Scholarships are critical for College students who cannot afford the full cost of their education. Thanks to the support of our many constituents, the College’s Educational Foundation awards more than $200,000 in scholarship support each year. The Foundation’s Scholarship and Awards brochure lists 120 programs of support that recognize students, faculty and staff for their accomplishments in the classroom and throughout the College community.

Donors wishing to establish a scholarship may award an annual scholarship or create an endowed scholarship in perpetuity.

Annual scholarships may be established in any amount and will be presented in the full amount to the students who meet the guidelines established by the donor.

Endowed scholarships provide a permanent source of scholarship aid. They are established with a gift of $10,000 or more, which is placed in the Foundation’s investment portfolio. A portion of the interest generated from the endowed scholarship fund is awarded annually to the students who meet the guidelines established by the donor.

Annual and endowed scholarships may be named for the donor, a loved one, a corporation, foundation or organization. To learn more about establishing and naming a scholarship at the College, please contact the Executive Director of the Delaware County Community College Educational Foundation at 610-359-5131.
