The Student Employment Services and Co-Op Center at the College prepares students and graduates for the workforce by teaching job-search skills, furnishing current employment information and resources, and providing experiential opportunities.
Program advisory committees comprised of employers and other industry experts meet several times a year to assist academic administrators and faculty in maintaining high-quality programs. Members review course content, recommend equipment that is used in their workplaces, provide guidance on industry-recognized certifications, create internships and other on-the-job experiences for current students that keep program current.
The College regularly invites employers to participate in programs that assist students and graduates in learning more about the important industries that support our region. Programs include career fairs, classroom presentations, employer panels, workshops and small group meetings with students. These activities give employers a chance to meet students interested in their industries and who may become valued employees.
Contributions to programs or facilities that support the College’s educational enterprise are always welcome. Contributions may be made toward capital expenditures, such as upgrades to equipment or facilities. In-kind gifts of equipment or furnishings may also be donated. Corporate scholarships have been the mainstay of the College’s scholarship program, which is administered by the College's Educational Foundation.
