Welcome to the Division of Allied Health, Emergency Services, and Nursing: if you are a prospective student, you have selected to learn about one of the most advanced and cost-effective nursing programs in Pennsylvania. In our division you will find a variety of programs and courses that can springboard your career into the health care, emergency services, and nursing arenas. Here are some of our division’s offerings:
Develop competencies essential to safe, effective nursing practice in a variety of health care settings within the community; upon successful completion, A.A.S. (Associate in Applied Science,) recipients are eligible to sit for the state licensure examination to become registered nurses (NCLEX-RN).

Paramedic - Advanced Life Support (Associate in Applied Science, EMTP): Students who complete this program -- accredited by the Pennsylvania Department of Health, Bureau of EMS and the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP) – will be eligible to sit for the National Registry exam to become certified as a Paramedic.
Emergency Medical Technician, Certificate of Competency: Study emergency services technology and pursue a career as a member of a pre-hospital team. Learn how to handle medical, emotional and traumatic issues of patients in a variety of accident and illness situations.
Health Care Management (Associate in Applied Science, AHM): Participants learn the skills needed for management roles in health care settings. Course work also provides a foundation for further study in Health Care or Health Services Administration.
Certified Nursing Assistant: Gain the background necessary to enter the elder care or home care fields in an entry-level capacity. View more >>
Medical Assistant (Certificate of Proficiency, CMED; and Medical Assistant (A.A.S.), MED): Get ready to work in the field as a multi-skilled health care worker, performing administrative and clinical duties while functioning as an assistant to a physician in ambulatory care settings.
Medical Coding and Billing (Certificate of Competency, MC): Start preparing for one of the most important jobs in the health care industry and build skills in the areas of physician-based- and hospital-coding, and as a medical claims reviewer (for those looking to expand their current job responsibilities, the College also offers the Medical Coding and Billing for the Health Care Professional Certificate of Competency (MCH)).
Perioperative Program: For current nurses interested in entering the operating room as an OR nurse.
RN First Assistant: A program designed for Perioperative Nurses looking to advance to the level of RN First Assistant.
Respiratory Therapy (Associate in Applied Science (RESP): Discover the rewards of managing, treating, testing and caring for patients with breathing abnormalities in this accredited program; graduates may receive their Registered Respiratory Therapist credential after successful completion of the Entry-Level Certification Examination and the Advanced Practitioner’s Examination.
Surgical Technology: Prepare for a job in the fast-paced acute care environment of the operating room as a technician who hands instruments to surgeons.
