Have a tween or teen? Be sure to check out the Babysitter Training with CPR & First Aid Certification.
If your child is staying all day with us, they are required to register for Lunch Bunch, which costs $30 for each week. Please request when you register. Campers must bring their own lunches. The cafeteria is not available.
Refunds will be offered if request is emailed to communityed@dccc.edu 10 days prior to the start date of your camp.

Drone Adventures
The Drones are here! Let the battles begin. In this hands-on, interactive class you will learn how to safely fly drone robots. Working in teams, you will be able to code your drone to compete in missions that will prepare you for the ultimate team challenge at the end of the week. Create the next popular animated Minecraft video on YouTube! Practice the same skills professionals at Pixar and Disney Animation Studios use. Beats and Jams: Digital Music Creators
Begin your rise to the top of the charts with digital music production! Just like today’s top artists, you can design your own beats or remix a mashup of your favorite songs to become a digital composer and sound engineer. In this course, students will learn to produce digital music, record sound, make sound effects, and mix their own tracks. No prior music experience is necessary. Take a step behind the scenes and uncover the mysteries of artificial intelligence! This program readies the next generation of AI engineers as they work with customized machine learning models for a variety of scenarios. Students will also gain experience in block-based coding skills while building interactive projects and games. From simulating self-driving racecars to teaching robots how to play video games, push the boundaries of what is possible with the help of A.I. Play the roles of judge, defendant, plaintiff, witness, lawyer, bailiff, or juror in several mock trials. Learn how to make opening and closing statements, how to phrase objections, and how to question witnesses. Pull all your skills together at the end of the week as you participate in a final mock trial based on cases from past national and state-level Mock Trial competitions. Embark on an EPIC adventure in virtual reality! Wickline Casting’s: Acting for The Camera – All Day Camp
This camp is designed by local casting director, Kathy Wickline, CSA (www.wicklinecasting.com) who holds over 10,000 casting credits in film, commercials and TV. It is perfect for the aspiring young ‘actors’ in your household. It is here they will be taught real auditioning skills by working with scripts for commercials and film readings. Your child will work on how to personalize characters and follow direction, block for camera and read with their ‘co-stars’.
Voice over will also be introduced. Improvisation and ad-libbing (off the script) will be taught as a basis of making acting choices and trusting their instincts. A huge benefit of this camp is increasing memory, reading skills and confidence.
*After camp, all footage is sent to a professional editor. Parents will be emailed an edited digital keepsake. Allow up to 3 months editing.
