News and Updates

Letter from the desk of the VP of Student Affairs - July 14, 2021:

Dear Student,
For those of you who are attending Summer 2, I hope that the session and your courses are going well. Those who are not attending now but will be at the College this Fall, we are looking forward to having you as a member of our college community.

I want to update you on the revised COVID protocols at the College. These changes have been made due to the increasing number of people vaccinated in Pennsylvania, a decline in the number of people being impacted by the pandemic, and the lifting of the mask requirement in Pennsylvania last month.

Effective Monday, July 19 the following COVID Protocols will be in place:

  • The College will begin operating on an honor system as it pertains to face coverings. Face coverings will be optional for all students, faculty, staff and visitors to the College who have been vaccinated.
  • Unvaccinated students, faculty, staff, and visitors should continue to wear a face covering that follows CDC guidelines.
  • The present requirement of daily temperature checks and wrist band distribution will be discontinued for everyone.
  • Being vaccinated will not be required for students, faculty, staff or visitors, but it is highly recommended.
  • Proof of vaccination will not be required.
  • Starting at the beginning of the Fall 2021 semester, most classrooms and other locations at the College will move to 3 feet of social distancing.
  • The College will continue with the enhanced cleaning protocols it has been using.

Please be aware that the situation regarding the pandemic continues to be very fluid, and it is possible that there could be additional changes to the COVID Protocols over the summer. If this happens, additional updates will be sent to you and the information will be posted on the College’s website.
