Academic Biography
My background is in Bioscience and Biotechnology. I studied Molecular Biology using E.coli as a tool to study the replication of DNA. This research provided me a background in Molecular Biology techniques such as Gel Electrophoresis, PCR as well as several Microbiology concepts. After completing my Ph.D., I did post-doctoral research at Thomas Jefferson University studying cancer research. This research has given me a background in Eukaryotic cell division with techniques such as tissue culture and isolation and analysis of RNA/DNA from Eukaryotic cells.
Scholarly Interests
Interested in preparing students in the Health Sciences as well as Natural Sciences fields. Making sure they have a solid foundation for success in upper-level Biology courses.
