PACE+ Residential Carpentry and Electrical Programs

DCCC’s new PACE+ program is enrolling for the Residential Carpentry and Residential Electrical programs!

What is PACE+?

The “Pre-Apprenticeships to Apprenticeships for Carpenters and Electricians, Plus,” or PACE+ program, is a collaboration between local unions, employers, and Delaware County’s Workforce Development Board, Technical Schools and Commerce Center among other partners, and offers short-term programs that provide the foundation for launching apprenticeships, certificates of competency and career paths.

Programs are available in:

Residential Electricity (12 credits)

Residential Carpentry (11 credits)

Workplace Safety

Introduction to Electricity

Carpentry Fundamentals

What you need to know about PACE+:

  • This credit program can be completed in one academic year
  • Program available to dual enrollment and traditional students
  • Grant funds for tuition and fees are available, however limited
  • Students receive OSHA Certification
  • All classes held on the Marple Campus; schedules vary

Our region currently lacks enough qualified individuals to meet the demand for carpenters and electricians. DCCC is here to meet that need. The PACE+ project’s goal is to increase a qualified workforce in our region for this industry.

Options for the PACE+ Graduates Include:

Applying for an apprenticeship with the:

  • Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters (EASRCC), or 
  • International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) 

Continuing studies at DCCC and completing a Certificate of Competence in:

  • Residential Electricity 
  • Residential Carpentry, and/or 

Entering directly into the workforce in the Building Trades
