(Delaware and Chester Counties, PA)—The Gallery at Delaware County Community College presents  Dimensions: Jaime Brett Treadwell as its annual contemporary exhibition in the Art Gallery, located in Room 2305 in the Academic Building on the College’s Marple Campus (901 South Media Line Road, Media, PA 19063). The exhibit will run Oct. 27 through Dec. 5.

Featuring 30-plus oil-on-wood panels, Dimensions celebrates the ambiguity of Treadwell’s painting practice, which immerses viewers in worlds that exploit the logical tensions between two- and three-dimensional spaces. Pairing optical illusions with abstraction, Treadwell’s paintings are portals to colorful, futuristic worlds that blend three-dimensionality with geometric abstraction. Dimensions traces the development of these themes over the last decade, culminating in Treadwell’s newest body of paintings, which depict imaginary sculptures inhabiting fantastical gallery spaces.

There will be a special Artist Talk on Thursday, November 6 at 4 p.m. in the Large Auditorium in the Academic Building on the Marple Campus, followed by an Exhibition Reception in the Art Gallery. Light refreshments will be provided, and the events are free and open to the public. The Artist Talk will also stream on Zoom. Visit dccc.edu/gallery for more information and to register.
