(Chester County, PA • January 4, 2012)—Residents of Chester County can take advantage of free General Educational Development (GED) classes and test preparation. Despite these difficult economic times, and amidst drastic cuts in funding, Delaware County Community College continues to offer these classes, which are funded through a grant by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, to support adult basic and literacy education.
Winter and Spring GED classes will be held in Downingtown, Exton and West Grove. Courses include reading comprehension, writing and math basic skill review and GED test preparation. In addition, Basic Math classes are available at the Pennocks Bridge Campus in West Grove for those needing additional help for employment or college admission skill review.
Classes fill quickly, and seats are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
