(Delaware and Chester Counties, PA • January 6, 2020)—Want to start your year out on a positive note? The New Choices Career Development program at Delaware County Community College is a free service aimed at helping single parents, displaced homemakers and individuals in transition explore their strengths and interests, while giving them tools for success in the workforce—including basic Microsoft Office training, resume assistance, interview practice and networking opportunities. Pathways to education and certificate programs are also discussed.
For 37 years, New Choices has helped Delaware and Chester County residents consider how their goals, values and motivators can translate into a promising career. Comprehensive career instruction is offered in a classroom setting, with the addition of one-on-one career guidance sessions. The next six-week session will be at Delaware County Community College’s Marple Campus, 901 South Media Line Road, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, January 21 through February 27. Successful graduates of the program will be eligible to apply for gently used laptop computers as well as College scholarships.
