(Downingtown, PA, May 25, 2011) – Lorna Rooney of Downingtown, PA (second from left) is the 2011 recipient of Delaware County Community College’s Marie Patriarca Award. Rooney, administrative assistant to the dean of Arts and Sciences at the Downingtown Campus has worked at the College for ten years.  The award was established by Labron Shuman, professor of Administration of Justice and coordinator of the Paralegal program, to recognize staff members who exemplify Patriarca’s (second from right) distinguished and exceptional service to Delaware County Community College. Patriarca, secretary to the President and assistant secretary to the board of trustees, retired in 2003 after 25 years of service.
