(Delaware and Chester Counties, PA)—Winner of five Tony Awards on Broadway, including Best Play, “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time,” is coming to Delaware County Community College. Based on a bestselling book, it is the poignant and funny story about Christopher Boone, a 15-year-old boy with an extraordinary neurodivergent mind who sets out to solve the murder of a neighbor’s dog and embarks on a journey of self-discovery and family secrets.
DCCC’s fall student theatre production hits the stage at the College’s Marple Campus (901 South Media Line Road, Media, PA 19063) Nov. 19-22 at 7 p.m. in the Academic Building’s Large Auditorium. The production is directed by Stephen Patrick Smith and includes several student actors who identify as neurodivergent or autistic. “I always strive to have diverse casts with diverse perspectives,” Smith says.
Tickets are $15 general admission, and $10 for students (valid school ID required). For tickets, visit dccc.edu/theatre. Note: this production uses strong language as well as flashing light sequences.
Delaware County Community College’s Theatre Department provides a comprehensive theatre education to its students and brings the results to the community through vibrant, thought-provoking productions.
