(Delaware and Chester Counties, PA)— Needah-e-Fatema Hafeezali Gangji of Malvern, a 2025 graduate of Delaware County Community College, has been awarded a 2025 Dunkin’ Philadelphia Regional Scholarship. Gangji is one of 20 students selected from more than 1,600 applicants to receive $5,000 to support their pursuit of part-time or full-time undergraduate degrees at accredited colleges, universities or vocational-technical schools.
Each year Dunkin’ and its Greater Philadelphia-area franchisees award $100,000 in academic scholarships to high school and college students in the region. Winners are selected based on their academic record, demonstrated leadership and proven commitment to their school and local community.
A native of Tanzania, Gangji earned her associate degree in Business Administration. She was a member of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), an international honor society of associate degree-granting colleges, and served as vice president of social media for PTK’s Alpha Tau Epsilon chapter at DCCC. She also was president of the Business Society as well as a club leader in both the Muslim Students Association and in the Social Work Club. In addition, she was a founder of the College’s new Debate Club.
Gangji was honored with the College’s 2024-2025 Outstanding Student Achievement Award, which recognizes outstanding academic achievement, student service and leadership, and significant contributions to the College and community.
With a passion for digital media and public speaking, Gangji plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree in marketing and communications with a minor in digital marketing. “Being a student at DCCC has made me a better person,” she says. “It is more than a college; it is the place that gave me the opportunity to follow my flame.”
