Register Now for Women's Workshop on Launching Your Career Comeback
(Delaware and Chester Counties, PA • January 14, 2015)—Register now for Launch Your Career Comeback, a workshop for women that begins Tuesday, February 24. This 11-week workshop runs on Tuesdays from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Delaware County Community College’s Marple Campus (901 S. Media Line Road, Media, PA).
If you are a woman who is considering a major life change such as re-entering the workplace or returning to school to build up your employable strengths and skills then this workshop is for you. You’ll receive support, personal attention and a structured approach to career planning and decision-making. Participants explore their strengths and possible career options, develop a career-action plan, create a resume, develop a LinkedIn Profile and practice effective interviewing skills.
The workshop is facilitated by Rose Kurtz, a counselor in the College’s Career and Counseling Center, and Peggy Schils, a licensed professional counselor and counselor in the College’s Career and Counseling Center. Kurtz and Schils both hold master’s degrees in counseling and have extensive experience working with women and their career issues as well as with job search techniques for unemployed adults.
The cost of the workshop is $125 for residents of sponsoring school districts, $175 for those in non-sponsoring districts. The cost of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator is included.
