(Delaware and Chester Counties, PA – April 10, 2023)—On Monday afternoon, Delaware County Community College’s Marple Campus was briefly locked down with a Shelter-In-Place or Run/Hide/Fight warning per established protocols. After a thorough investigation, local law enforcement issued an “All Clear.”

Out of an abundance of caution, the decision was made to close the Marple Campus today, April 10, effective immediately. All operations, including remaining afternoon and evening classes, activities and events are canceled at the Marple Campus. All branch campuses, and online classes, remain open. Normal operations will resume at the Marple Campus on Tuesday, April 11.

Because we realize that today’s lockdown may have been troubling for some students, faculty and staff, the College is providing counseling. Students can contact the College’s Counseling Center. Faculty and staff have been provided, via internal email, a website and a phone number to call.
