Jason Wolbach is a versatile guitarist, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist with over thirty years of professional performance experience spanning the Tri-State area, Canada, Mexico, and Latin America. He has captivated audiences in local clubs and renowned venues, showcasing his talent in a wide array of genres including jazz, singer-songwriter, musical theater, classical, rock & roll, and R&B. Additionally, Wolbach has performed at numerous music festivals and spent several years on cruise ships, collaborating with musicians from around the world. These diverse experiences have profoundly shaped and enriched his musical artistry.
As a dedicated music educator and faculty member at DCCC, Wolbach will present a collection of his favorite original compositions and popular music arrangements, seamlessly navigating genres such as jazz, rock, R&B, and bossa nova. Accompanied by his 7-string guitar, Wolbach will be joined by Greg Paynter on bass, Tom Cullen on drums, and Tony Gairo on saxophone and keyboard. Together, the Jason Wolbach Group creates a dynamic instrumental soundscape that elevates Wolbach’s compositions and selected works through their collective interpretation. Expect memorable melodies, tight grooves, and exceptional musicianship. The Jason Wolbach Group delivers a fresh sound that will resonate long after the performance concludes. This evening promises a captivating musical journey, with a strong emphasis on improvisation, allowing both performers and listeners to explore the art of sound without rushing to the final destination.
