NakedEye Ensemble is Ju-Ping Song, pianos; Matthew Allison, flutes; Chad Kinsey, guitar; Naomi Gray, cello; Paul Murr, percussion; Ryan Kauffman, saxophones; Ryan Kuhns, bass; Christy Banks, clarinets
NakedEye was founded in 2009 and is directed by pianist Ju-Ping Song. Based in Lancaster, PA, it moves forward with a mission to promote, commission and present works by living composers throughout the world.
NakedEye is a 2011 winner of New York City's UnCaged Toy Piano Composition Competition through its commission of Rusty Banks' Babbling Tower to Tower, and a recipient of New Music USA's 2014 commissioning grant for Randall Woolf's chamber concerto for piano Punching the Clock.
The ensemble has more than 50 works in its repertoire, including a growing number of commissions. NakedEye believes in the power of new music to surprise, uplift, and change.
