Inclusive language is choosing words, phrases or tones that do not reflect prejudiced, stereotyped or discriminatory views of particular people or groups. It is also language that doesn't deliberately or inadvertently exclude people from being seen as part of a group. This workshop will point out some common situations in language and everyday phrases/conversations that could benefit from using inclusive language. A special focus will be made towards being mindful towards our LGBT population.
