The Rule of Law and the Modern Immigration Landscape, presented by Ricky Palladino, Esq.
“The rule of law ensures that people will not be imprisoned or punished without due process, will be free to pursue their economic interests, and will be secure in their homes and property.” This discussion will examine the impact of the various immigration laws, if the current practices and policies of the federal government comply with due process and security for the benefit of individuals and businesses alike, and the socio-economic impact of ineffective immigration policies.

Innovation Within the Bounds of Law with panelists District Attorney Tanner Rouse and Professor Keeley Mitchell
“The idea that no person is above the law—is what ensures the rights of the people to live their lives as freely as possible and to pursue their dreams”. This discussion will examine the mechanisms that maintain a fair marketplace and responsibilities of businesses and entrepreneurs to operate within the confines of the law. Furthermore, the discussion will shed light on how the justice system curbs overreach to ensure that the pursuit of the “American Dream” does not come at the expense of public safety, privacy, or legal integrity.

This panel explores the balance between leveraging AI’s efficiency and preserving the core of human intellect. How can we embrace generative AI without compromising our integrity, creativity and critical thinking as it becomes a ubiquitous presence in and outside the classroom? We will address the growing concern that regulatory protections are often minimized by corporate influence, giving developers more leverage over public impact than government oversight.
