Season Review: Historic Moment for Women’s Cross Country
Signature Highlight: Freshman Julianna Moss ran into the program’s record books with a runner-up finish at the Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (EPAC) Championships at Luzerne County Community College on Oct. 19. Moss, a first-year student-athlete, crossed the finish line of the 5k race with a school-record time of 20:51.
Awards: Moss earned All-EPAC honors by virtue of her top-5 finish at the all-conference meet.
Season Notes: Moss, a graduate of Ridley High School, competed in the Luzerne County Invitational on Sept. 15. Her record-setting time on Oct. 19 displayed the results of a season of hard work as Moss showed an almost three-minute improvement from her previous appearance on the same course … Moss was a model of consistency in her first year in a Phantoms uniform as she has finished in the top 10 in four of the five meets in which she participated …Chester High School graduate Danayzah Fitgerald clocked the College’s previous school-record time of 22:31 in 2018.
