As the demand for a skilled workforce reaches new heights, the College is poised and ready to prepare our career and technical education students to meet the ever-changing business and industry employment needs of the region.
By supporting Workforce Development, you will create a critical pipeline between students at the College and life-changing opportunities for in-demand jobs earning family-sustaining wages.
Workforce Innovation
Goal | $700,000
Workforce innovation will enable the College, and our students, to be more nimble with the evolving needs of area employers; provide funding for essential courses in skilled trades and advanced technology; and stay at the forefront of ever-changing technologies. This program will also include exploring high-priority occupations with high school students, enhancing professional development and industry certification for instructors, and integrating career coaches.
Career Pathway Programs
Goal | $300,000
Designed to meet students where they are, Career Pathways Programs provide opportunities for students to continue their education, no matter their experience level. This will fund will support expanded pathways programs, including in skilled trades, advanced technology, healthcare, and information technology. Career Pathways Program will work in concert with the Kelleher Connect Career Opportunity Fund to encourage career and technical education dual enrollment programs at the high school level, as a means to advance students toward the goal of family-sustaining wages.
