Learn About the Southeast Center
Fulfilling a Regional Need
Delaware County Community College’s Southeast Center is a new regional center designed to expand access to education, prepare students for high-priority careers, and serve employers and communities across Delaware and Chester Counties.
Located in Drexel Hill and accessible by public transportation, the Southeast Center brings academic programs, workforce training, and student support services together in a modern, comprehensive learning environment. The Center is the result of years of careful planning and regional needs assessment, shaped by labor-market data, employer input, and community engagement, to ensure DCCC is investing in the programs, training, and services the region needs most to thrive.
The Southeast Center is expected to serve hundreds more students each semester, significantly expanding access to education and career preparation for residents across Delaware and Chester Counties.
A Campus Designed to Serve Students and the Region
The Southeast Center opened in January 2026 and is already welcoming students in completed portions of the building. Additional elements of this new location are being completed as part of the initial build-out, allowing the College to begin serving students while securing the financial commitments needed to finish remaining spaces.
This phased approach ensures students can benefit from the Center now, while continued investment supports the completion of classrooms, labs, and shared learning environments.
The Center was designed to support a wide range of learners, including degree-seeking students, individuals pursuing short-term credentials, and those participating in workforce training and community education programs.

Southeast Center & Capital Priorities
The Southeast Center Capital Fund supports Delaware County Community College’s most significant facilities investment to date: the Southeast Center, a new regional campus serving students, employers, and communities across Delaware and Chester Counties.
The Southeast Center opened in January 2026 and is already welcoming students. Capital fundraising is now focused exclusively on completing the initial build-out of this campus—ensuring the learning, training, and student-support spaces identified through extensive regional needs assessment are fully in place and equipped to serve the community as intended.
Capital Goal
- Goal: $5 million
- Purpose: Completion of the Southeast Center’s initial build-out
The $5 million capital goal reflects the resources required to complete the classrooms, labs, workforce training spaces, and student-support areas that regional data, employer input, and community engagement identified as most critical for student success and workforce readiness.
Although the Center is open and operational, continued fundraising is essential to finish this first and foundational phase so students, faculty, and workforce partners can fully benefit from the campus as designed.
Why Capital Support Is Still Needed
The Southeast Center was intentionally planned as a comprehensive, multi-use campus that brings together academic instruction, workforce training, and student services in one location. Completing the initial build-out ensures these spaces function together as a cohesive learning environment and are fully equipped to support teaching, hands-on training, and student success.
Rising construction, equipment, and fit-out costs—driven by supply and labor constraints—have increased the importance of securing capital support as efficiently as possible. Completing renovations and installations promptly helps mitigate future cost escalation and allows more students to benefit from finished spaces sooner.
Capital support advances:
- Completion of instructional and workforce training spaces
- Outfitting classrooms and labs with appropriate equipment and technology
- Finalizing shared-use and student-support areas essential to daily campus operations
How to Get Involved
There are multiple ways to support the Southeast Center Capital Fund. Some donors choose to sponsor spaces within the building, creating a visible and lasting connection to the campus. Others contribute through unrestricted or project-specific capital gifts that help advance the completion of priority spaces.
