There are very good reasons that a decision to attend Delaware County Community College is a terrific one, but Transfer opportunities might just be the best! First and foremost, the College provides one of the most affordable ways to start a post-secondary education. But more exciting are the opportunities the College provides in the areas of transferring to a four-year institution -- including Dual, Guaranteed and Core-to-Core Admission Agreements, and excellent scholarship opportunities.
If transferring is your ultimate plan, consider completing your associate degree first. Why? Because our four-year partner colleges and universities tell us that our graduates are more successful than students who begin with them as freshmen. And don't forget, depending on the four-year institution you choose, you can save hundreds to tens of thousands of dollars by completing your first two years at Delaware County Community College.
The first thing you need to know about our Transfer Office is that our professional staff is here to assist you with individual advising sessions, informative events, and online resources. New students are encouraged to contact the Transfer Office as soon as they start classes to assure quick progression through the appropriate transfer program and easy transition to the four-year college or university of choice.
After that, sign up for our transfer workshops or other events that are designed to ensure a smooth process for getting you to where you want to go. Our students go on to complete bachelor degrees all across the country, but many take advantage of relationships we have with area Colleges and Universities. We have more than 40 of them.
