Important Notes
- Arcadia grants transfer credit in the amount awarded by the home institution, and recognizes equivalencies based on content, so students following the above program would be awarded 6l to 62 credits in transfer.
- A grade of B or better is required in ENG 100 to meet the English composition requirement at Arcadia. Grades below a B will require a placement exam and possible additional course(s) in English.
- Arcadia University (AU) and Delaware County Community College have a Dual Admission/Core-to-Core Transfer agreement. Completion of the DCCC Business Administration A.S. degree meets all of AU's General Education requirements except for the Global Connections Experience and Global Reflection courses. Students must also complete the Senior Capstone Project at AU. The maximum number of transfer credits that AU will accept from DCCC is 75. A minimum grade of "C-" is required to transfer a course to AU. At least 50% of the requirements for the major must be completed at AU.
- For the BA/BS Degree in Accounting, 6 BA/EC non-Accounting courses must be completed at AU as well as 4 Accounting Courses. For the BA/BS Degree in Business with no Concentration, 7 BA/EC courses must be completed at AU. For the BA/BS Degree in Business with a Concentration, 6 BA/EC courses must be completed at AU as well as 2 courses in the Concentration.
- Students interested in the BA degree are required to complete two of the following AU Math courses. MA141 - Statistics (BUS 220 at DCCC) MAl43 - Business Math MA201 - Calculus I (MAT 160 at DCCC) MA2O7 - Applied Calculus I (MAT 136 at DCCC)
Students interested in the BS degree are required to complete three of the following AU Math courses. MAl41 - Statistics (BUS 220 at DCCC) MAl43 - Business Math MA201 - Calculus I (MAT 160 at DCCC) MA207 - Applied Calculus I (MAT 136 at DCCC) MM02 - Calculus II (MAT 161 at DCCC) MA242 - Intermediate Statistics (Pre-Req. is MA141) - For the BUS/Open Electives, Accounting majors should choose from: ACC 251, ACC 252, BUS 215, or BUS 232. Students interested in the Business Major with a Concentration in Finance, Management, or Marketing must complete 3 upper-level courses in that discipline. At least 2 of these 3 upper-level courses are to be taken at Arcadia. Students interested in a Concentration in Economics must complete at least 3 Economics courses at Arcadia. - At least 50% of the requirements for the major and concentration must be completed at Arcadia University.
- The maximum number of transfer credits that Arcadia University will accept from DCCC is 75. A minimum grade of "C-" is required to transfer a course to Arcadia.
- Upper-level Business and Economics requirements are offered at the Glenside in face-to-face, partially online, and fully online formats.
