For that reason, the College offers a wide range of programs designed to give you the support you need to reach your educational and career goals. One of the most important of these programs is Achieving the Dream, a national effort aimed at helping community college students succeed.

But this is just one of many College programs focused on your success. You can also take advantage of our college planning services, personal counseling, career counseling and the many services of our Office of Student Success & First-Year Experience.

We encourage you to make the most of these resources. They’re all here to serve you and help you succeed – not just in your studies here at the College, but also in the next stages of your education and career.

Achieving the Dream

Delaware County Community College is a proud partner in Achieving the Dream, a national effort that brings community colleges and other organizations together in pursuit of an important objective: helping more community college students succeed.

Achieving the Dream was created to help community college students complete courses, earn degrees and certificates, and transfer to four-year schools to continue their studies. This national initiative focuses on student groups that have faced the greatest barriers to success, including low-income students and minorities.

As an Achieving the Dream school, the College has launched a number of programs aimed at helping its students succeed, especially those who need added help preparing for college and reaching their goals.
