The College is open to assist you both virtually and at some select physical locations. Remote learning will continue through the summer and fall sessions. The Annual Foundation Dinner, hosted by members of the Educational Foundation’s Board of Directors, was held on October 15, 2019. Cynthia Aigeltinger, Chair welcomed more than 350 donors, sponsors, and student scholars and guests to Drexelbrook Corporate Events Center in Drexel Hill.
The event featured the presentation of the 2019 Wong Moss Outstanding Alumni Award to Judge John Bailey ’96. Bailey has served as a Chester County Magisterial District Judge since 2012. After graduating from Delaware County Community College, he received a Master’s in Administrative Science from Fairleigh Dickenson University in 2009. Before becoming a judge, he spent 34 years with the Tredyffrin Township Police Department.
The Foundation Dinner also hosted the first student recipients of the Kelleher Connect Career Opportunity Fund. This fund, made possible by a generous gift rom the Kelleher Family Foundation, supports students in select technical education certificate programs who plan to advance directly into the local workforce following graduation.
The Delaware County Community College Golf Classic, hosted at the prestigious Rolling Green Golf Club, was held on June 24, 2019. The tournament hosted 126 golfers, the largest field in event history and raised over $40,000 in unrestricted scholarship funds.
This year the event received unprecedented sponsorship support, over $40,000, from local businesses and strategic partners of the College’s Foundation Board Directors. The event also featured the 2 Annual Drone Ball Drop, hosted by The Drone Doctor, a local FAA certified drone pilot who helped add state of the art excitement to the traditional 50/50 contest. The event also featured samples from Levante Brewing in West Chester, owned by Paul Radosh ’93.

This annual celebration brings together benefactors, students, and college faculty and staff who provide generous support for our students. It creates an opportunity for students to meet their benefactors so they may express their gratitude in person for the support they received. The Foundation’s scholarships and awards are listed in a brochure and updated on an annual basis.
