Marketing & Communications Functional Areas

Design Services

DCCC’s award-winning design work supports the College at all levels. From Commencement programs to high school student mailers or digital web ads, we work with teams across the College to strategically design and produce DCCC-branded assets that will reach prospective students, community residents and businesses, donors and more, to tell the DCCC story.

Public Relations

Positive media coverage is an integral part of the College’s overall communications strategy. Any ideas for articles or pieces that could positively portray the College, its work or its community, should be directed to the Marcom office. Likewise, please be sure to the director of public relations, Jennifer Schu, about any incidents that are likely to rise to the level of a news story.

If contacted by the media, prepping for an interview or providing commentary or quotes for an article, we encourage you to contact the Director of Public Relations, Jennifer Schu, to assist you.

For these occasions, our office will:

  • Help coach an individual for an interview
  • Ensure that the College and its values are fairly and accurately represented
  • Ensure a coordinated, consistent institutional response if follow-up inquiries are made to other staff or faculty
  • Track media coverage

 Public Website/delaGATE

The public website is considered a primary marketing tool to showcase the breadth of offerings and services that Delaware County Community College provides. Audiences for the website span from prospective students, families, alumni, donors, community residents and businesses.

While the web strategy and content manager oversees the content across both the public website and the College’s intranet, delaGATE, the web manager also works in collaboration with OIT’s Web Services department and with individual content authors across the College.

If you, or someone from your team, needs access to your web pages as a content author, please please submit a ticket to the OIT Support Services.

 Social Media

The College employs a centralized social media management model to optimize engagement and monitor the institution’s presence in this important space. While the guidelines state that divisions and departments within the College may request individual social media pages/accounts, Marketing & Communications has the right to approve or deny requests.

All departments that are currently involved in the social media space should contact our department to help review current practices and to coordinate future efforts. Email socialmedia@dccc.edu for more information.

Social Media Handbook (PDF) – This handbook of Site Administrator Guidelines for the College’s official social media sites details the College’s strategic approach to social media through site administrator guidelines and links to related policies.
