Intercultural Friendship Program

The Intercultural Friendship Program recognizes the College’s commitment to providing a holistic, meaningful learning experience to all students served. This program partners with the Office of International Student Services and College faculty using the service-learning model to enhance student learning experiences. The goal of the program is for students to experience first-hand, cross-cultural exchange opportunities and to increase their understanding of themselves, others and our campus community.
The program matches interested incoming international students with current students for semester-length, one-to-one friendship opportunities.
Student interaction and participation in program and College-sponsored events provides increased opportunities for socio-linguistic skill enhancement and cross-cultural awareness.
The program also serves as an excellent opportunity for all students to engage in and understand issues of diversity, social justice and greater global awareness of our world.
