About the AAWCC/DCCC Chapter
Established in 2026, the AAWCC/DCCC Chapter is dedicated to supporting and advocating for women in all aspects of community colleges by providing meaningful opportunities to learn, participate, and grow through educational events, leadership opportunities, community outreach and volunteerism, and collaboration.
Interested individuals who support creating equity and excellence in education and leadership opportunities for women should consider joining!

What is the AAWCC?
Established in 1973, the American Association for Women in Community Colleges (AAWCC) fosters the professional growth and leadership of women in community colleges. AAWCC is dedicated to changing women’s lives through leadership and education, thus strengthening our colleges and communities. The National AAWCC holds a national conference each year, in addition to leadership retreats and opportunities to support women in community colleges.
The purpose of the American Association for Women in Community Colleges is to: Foster the development of comprehensive educational, career, and life opportunities for all persons; Provide information, assistance and support for all educators as they serve two-year college students through providing education and services that are sensitive to the needs of women students; Encourage and support professional development and advancement of all women employed and/or enrolled in a community, junior, or technical college; Collect and disseminate data and research relating to women’s professional development issues; Support the goals and objectives of the American Association of Community Colleges; Promote equity and education for community college women students. Annual Membership Dues
Annual membership dues are $10 for DCCC students and $25 for employees, paid by cash, check or through our online payment portalTicketleap. These dues help to pay our annual chapter fees to the national AAWCC organization as well as fund member events and initiatives such as special workshops or training, guest speakers, new member pinning ceremony, etc.
If you would prefer to pay by cash or check, please deliver payment to Chapter Treasurer Dawn Moscariello (Office 3259 at Marple). All paying chapter members are automatically national members as well and are invited to participate in events at the national level (such as annual conferences, leadership seminars and workshops)! Please note that individual events may have a cost associated with them that is not included in the annual dues.
