The
Workforce Entry Center (WEC) is a state of the art gateway to
resources for employers, job seekers, educators and the community
at large. Designed and staffed in partnership with Team Pennsylvania
CareerLink the center provides the opportunity to find a career
or locate a job or an employee.
The
WEC promotes the networking of community employers and leadership
organizations. The outstanding facilities of the Maple Room
serve as a space to examine sector employment intervention,
employee retention and skill development in our region. The
WEC seeks to draw together the energetic forces in all sectors
of the workplace to join to design solutions to workforce issues.
The vision of the WEC is that it will serve as the county source
of career and workforce information and provide support for
employers and employees through the resources of Team Pennsylvania
CareerLink. The WEC will work actively with employers and educators
who share the vision of a Delaware County Workforce that is
work ready and in a process of continuous growth and improvement.
The
WEC encourages employers and employees to embrace lifelong learning
of workplace skills through training and on-the-job development.
The WEC encourages the use of credit for prior learning as an
employer incentive for further training and education.
The
WEC looks forward to the shared work of all in strengthening
our county workforce.
