Transportation

The Transportation department offers beginning and advanced programs in automobile repair services. In addition, the department offers preparation courses in Pennsylvania State Safety Inspection and Enhanced Emissions, and it is authorized to administer the corresponding certification examinations. We are also an authorized ASE testing center. All laboratories are equipped with the latest repair, performance and diagnostic tools and instrumentation.

Pennsylvania Safety and Emissions Inspection
DCCC’s Malin Road Center is authorized by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) to administer a course of instruction to prepare and test auto mechanics for Pennsylvania State Safety Inspection Certification and Pennsylvania Enhanced Emissions Inspection Certification and Recertification*. All courses are non-credit courses. The certification examinations are included as part of the coursework. Upon successful completion of each examination, students are awarded certification cards by PennDOT. For a current listing of these and other automotive non-credit courses, please click here.

Automotive Service Excellence (ASE)
The Malin Road Center is also an ASE authorized testing center. For an examination application, please contact the assessment center at 610-359-5322. For dates, times and location of the test administration, please see our Calendar of Events.
