Navigating Leadership
Looking to develop your leadership skills? Interested in increasing your marketability to future employers and universities? Then the Navigating Leadership program is your answer.
Throughout the year students at Delaware County Community College have the opportunity to participate in up to 14 different leadership workshops. Students who complete half of the workshops receive a leadership certificate from Campus Life and are invited to the Student Awards Banquet in April.

The mission of the Leadership Development program is to prepare students for leadership roles and responsibilities. To achieve these objective the program is designed to:
- Provide students with opportunities to develop and enhance a personal philosophy of leadership that includes understanding of self, others, and community
- Assist students in gaining varied leadership experience
- Use multiple leadership techniques, theories, and models
- Recognize and reward exemplary leadership behavior
- Be inclusive and accessible
Develop Life Skills and Find Yourself as a Leader
Students will develop skills that correspond with the College's second competency that focus on the ideals of self, respect, relationships, goal setting, confidence and determination. The leadership program strives to help students learn about various decision-making processes to solve problems; develop a fundamental understanding of leadership principles; develop self awareness of one’s personal values and cognitive styles; apply skills learned to everyday life and work situations; and understand and appreciate diverse leadership styles, skills, and personalities.
