Learning Resource Centers
Our Learning Resource Centers are here to support you and help you succeed at Delaware County Community College.
The centers provide information, education and technology resources for the College’s students, faculty and staff. Whether you need a basic service, tutoring or support with using technology, the Learning Resource Centers can help.
With centers at our Marple Campus and our other locations, learning support is never far away. Stop by and learn more about how the Resource Centers can support you.
Learning Resource Centers at the Marple Campus
You’ll find the academic support and computing resources you need to be successful in your classroom work at the two Learning Resource Centers on the Marple Campus: the General Learning Center and the Math/Science Learning Center.
Both centers provide tutoring, testing and other services. Highly skilled instructional assistants can teach you how to use technology efficiently and effectively in your courses.
At the General Learning Center, you can:
- Get help with introductory computer classes
- Listen to language tapes and copy them to use at home
- View videotape or computer lessons provided by your professor
- Use a software program that accompanies your textbook
- Take advantage of free tutoring
- Access testing services for make-up tests, special accommodation exams and online and hybrid learning exams
- Complete testing for other colleges and institutions
The Math/Science Learning Center offers these specialized services:
- Instructional resources, free tutoring and testing for all science and math courses
- Computers equipped with math tutorials and science software programs
- National Science Foundation (NSF) lab with Internet access on all computers
- Help from staff members with math software programs
- Testing services for make-up tests and special testing conditions
- Seven math courses taught in the Center in a self-paced format

The Learning Resource Centers at our other sites offer general computing resources, a study area, tutoring and test proctoring services. You can also find the following services at these centers:
- Access to book loans from the library and help with the library’s online databases and other online information
- Production of college ID cards
- Access to career information via the Internet
- Laptop Loan Program
