The Student information Service (SIS) is prepared weekly by the Campus Life Office, Room 2518, 359-5341, and is distributed throughout the College. The deadline for submissions is 3pm, Wednesday. This office reserves the right to limit announcements to three lines and two consecutive weeks.

GENERAL INFORMATION
SUPPORTING OUR TROOPS: Linda Durkin's Teamwork class project focuses on "Supporting our Troops". Class members are selling raffle tickets many different days during the lunch hour in November near the cafeteria. The prize list is fantastic: St. Joe's Basketball tickets, Flyer's tickets, DCCC bookstore $100 gift certificate, $25 DCCC Cafeteria gift voucher, Dinner and Movie package, Romantic Dinner for Two, Mystery Prize, and President Parker's parking space (one week in January), priceless!!!! Raffle drawing: December 3, 2009 at Q-time in the cafeteria. ALL money collected goes to Operation First Response an organization supporting our wounded soldiers returning from duty overseas. You can check out their website: www.operationfirstresponse.org In addition, they have placed "red" donation boxes around campus (Library, Campus Life, Business & CIS Dept., Security Desk, Career Center) and Downingtown, SouthEast Center, and Pennocks Bridge. They are collecting slightly used, current books on tape, DVDs, music CDs, and magazines. Any items collected will be sent to troops serving overseas. EXTREMISM, FUNDAMENTALISM, HOLY WAR PANEL: November 24, 2009, Tuesday, 11:05am, Large Auditorium. Abrahamic religious scholars will discuss fundamentalism leading to conflict and the possibility of negotiation or peace instead. Presented by the Institutional Diversity Committee, Black and Women's History Committee and the Campus Life Office. Everyone is invited to attend this free program.

TRANSFERRING TO WEST CHESTER: Interested in transferring to West Chester University? DCCC offers a guaranteed admissions program with West Chester University called the Letter of Intent. This one session workshop will cover what classes to take for transfer and how to sign up for the Letter of Intent program. WOMEN’S LEADERSHIP: There is no such thing as a “one-size-fits all” model for leadership. This has become a reality in our increasingly diverse culture where we have observed many different types of leaders demonstrate their success. In this workshop we will collaborate to: identify key characteristics of successful women leaders; identify and evaluate your leadership style; identify strengths and weaknesses with regards to interpersonal communications; and create a plan for developing your leadership style and applying it to reach your leadership goals. DCCC’S HEALTH CENTER: The Health Center offers a wide variety of health care services, including emergency care, first aid, care of minor illnesses, health information, and health screening programs. The Health Center provides educational material on a wide variety of health concerns and has information on short term health insurance. All students are invited to visit the Health Center, room 2260, to discuss any health questions; students with medical histories and/or drug or other allergies are encouraged to complete a Health Information Card in the Health Center.
