Information Literacy at Other Locations
Information literacy sessions with a librarian are available at all campuses. They can be offered in person if the visiting librarian’s schedule allows or using video conferencing software called ViaVideo.
Scheduling Classes at other campus locations
Scheduling a session (two options):
1. Ask for the appropriate form in the campus' Learning Resource Center (LRC) and return it there when completed; or
2. Use the Request for Library Instruction Session at a Branch Campus online form found in the Faculty channel on the Library tab in delaGATE.
If you need to cancel a session, inform the LRC supervisor as soon as possible.
Guidelines
- Please fill out a form for each course. Multiple sections can be scheduled on one form.
- We recommend offering a range of possible dates for the session.
- The LRC Supervisor will coordinate room scheduling and technical support.
- Instruction often runs 90 minutes but librarians will work with you to decide what’s best for your class.
- 2 weeks notice is required for scheduling classes. The library has the right to decline a class if insufficient time is given.
- Faculty are encouraged to schedule library sessions during the first four (4) weeks of the semester regardless of when the class is to be held in order to accommodate ALL requests.
- If you are a part-time faculty member, you must provide your home phone number and email.
- If you have not received a confirmation from Dorothy Hatcher within 3 days of filling out this form, please contact her at 610-359-5150.
- The librarian teaching the class will contact faculty after the session has been scheduled.
- Faculty must be in attendance during the session.
- Please include a copy of the assignment related to library instruction.
- Assign the research-based project to students prior to the library session.
