The feature that allows users to create a list of books from the DCCC Libary Online Catalog is now functioning, thanks to the technical expertise of Craig Ross (Library/ACS). Even better, the book citations can be saved to a list in MLA format and then emailed to the user. Actually, just as in the case of Ebsco’s work cited suggestions for journals and magazines (see blog entry from 9/23/08 at library.dccc.edu), the MLA format needs a bit of tweaking to be accurate. For example, entries will have to be double spaced and the “c” removed from the publication year. But it is a great head start for just making list of possible entries for work cited and then for the actual works cited page in MLA style. Progress! (mg)
