Credo Reference contains more than 400 full text online reference e-books and e-encyclopedias from 60 different publishers. Examples include The Encyclopedia of Ethics, The Bloomsbury Guide to Art, Encyclopedia of American Management, many bilingual dictionaries, Encyclopedia of the Renaissance, and the Encyclopedia of Violence. Even better, the book citations can be saved to a list in MLA format and then emailed to the user. Actually, just as in the case of Ebsco’s work cited suggestions for journals and magazines (see blog entry from 9/23/08 at library.dccc.edu), the MLA format needs a bit of tweaking to be accurate. For example, entries will have to be double spaced and the “c” removed from the publication year. But it is a great head start for just making list of possible entries for work cited and then for the actual works cited page in MLA style. Progress! (mg)
